Four Summit High School students have been selected to perform at the prestigious Sydney Opera House in Sydney, Australia and one other will be performing at Carnegie Hall in New York City (NYC). Satori Adnan, Amadou Kane, Sonnet Renoux, and Katherine Eldredge will perform in Sydney in July, alongside other talented students from around the world. Lyric Talley will perform in NYC in February. They will perform through the Honors Performance Series: an international program designed to provide world class instruction to the most promising young performers.
Participation in the Honors Ensembles is limited to the highest-rated students from across the world. After completing an extensive application process in early September, which included a recommendation, biography, and audition tape, the SHS students were notified of their acceptance by the Honors Selection Board on Oct. 18, 2024.
Meet the performers
Kate Eldredge
“I am honored to have the opportunity to perform internationally. I have always been passionate about being part of a chorus, and magic happens when beautiful voices and great directors come together.”
Age: 17
Class: 2026
Her love for music began when she fell in love with Disney’s Cinderella. Since then, Eldredge has gone on to perform at Carnegie Hall as well as other honor choral events. She has also had the chance to play in several of SHS’ performances throughout her high school career.
Amadou Kane
“I am honored to get the chance to sing internationally with such talented singers."
Age: 16

Kane's love for music has led him to participate in multiple honor choir events with the Summit Singers, and he is super excited to get this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform at the Sydney Opera House.
Satori Adnan
¨I just know this is going to be an experience I will never forget."
Age: 16
Class: 2026
Adnan has been singing and acting since she was very young, and recently, she’s been exploring the realm of classical music. Her most recent honors choir event was located in Carnegie Hall, and the experience led her to audition for the international youth honors choir, which will take her to the Sydney Opera House.
Sonnet Renoux
“It gives us all a chance to sing with people around the world who are just as dedicated and interested in performing as we are! It really is a lifetime opportunity, and I'm eternally grateful!”
Age: 15
Class: 2027
Having grown up in an artistic household, her devotion to music was inevitable, and she is grateful to her parents for supporting her passion. In the past year, Renoux has had the opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall in NYC.
Adnan, Eldredge, Kane, and Renoux will join high school students from Bermuda, Canada, China, South Korea, and 47 US states for a special performance at the world-famous Sydney Opera House, a venue that marks the pinnacle of musical achievement. Talley will have a similar experience in NYC.
